Mysterious Masked Man becomes new face of Van Gils

Mysterious Masked Man becomes new face of Van Gils

After weeks of rumours and speculation, the story of the masked man has taken a surprising twist with news that the Dutch fashion brand, Van Gils, appears to be the instigator. The sharply dressed masked man first stepped into the spotlight at the Venice Film Festival last month with Italian model and actress Laura Esposto, attending the premier of the new Coen brothers film 'Burn After Reading'.

Since then he has appeared with a string of beautiful ladies, prompting many people to ask: “Who’s the mysterious man behind the mask?”
Some suggested it was Michael Jackson, others felt it was a PR stunt for some new Hollywood blockbuster. Now it appears they were all wrong.

Rob van Bilsen, CEO of WaalWear Men, explains: ‘‘There is a delicate balance between “doing it right” and simply “overdoing it”. Van Gils understands the aforementioned. The campaign is slightly unconventional and communicates what we stand for: a suit takes you places.’’

The last few weeks the masked man has been living the kind of lifestyle many could only dream of, with beautiful women by his side attending every hotspot in Europe. After Venice he flirted with Miss Belgium at the Grand Prix in Francorchamps. And more recently he caused a stir due to a brief encounter with Pamela Anderson at London Fashion Week. He is definitely on a role because he has also been spotted with Danish actress Susan K, glamorous Swedish TV presenter Carolina Gynning and Dutch Playboy model Lieke van Lexmond.

The final words go to Van Bilsen who ads with a grin: “It’s unclear whether the beautiful women or the suit attracted the paparazzi.”

The new Van Gils Camapign is launched the 25th of September
